LOLS10在线直播下注ASI’s Board consists of two Directors from each of Production and Transformation, Industrial Users and Civil Society membership classes, elected by all ASI members, plus two Independent Directors to be appointed by the elected Board.
The current Directors are:

Tolga Egrilmezer, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Rio Tinto Aluminium
LOLS10在线直播下注Tolga Egrilmezer is an experienced global executive with extensive experience in the aluminium industry. Tolga’s most recent experience was for the Sapa Group, a world leader in aluminium solutions. He joined Sapa Group in 2002 and held increasingly senior executive roles reflecting his breadth of experience in commercial, business transformation and operations, culminating in his appointment as a member of the Sapa Executive Board in 2011. His experience includes serving as President of Sapa Asia based in Shanghai, with responsibility for Sapa’s P&L in China, Vietnam and India and its sales network in South Korea and Japan. Tolga was Vice Chairman of the Board of Directrors in Sapa Group’s joint venture in China with Chinalco 2011 – 2015. He also established Sapa’s commercial excellence platforms, created Sapa’s global strategic accounts division and led its global R&D centers in Europe, China and North America.
Nicholas Madden, Senior Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer, Novelis Inc.
Nick Madden is SVP Procurement for Novelis Inc., the world’s leading producer of aluminium rolled products and the world’s top recycler of aluminium. Novelis is a subsidiary of Hindalco, a member of the Aditya Birla Group. Nick has 41 years of global experience in the primary, recycling and rolling sectors of the industry. He has extensive supply chain and operational experience, most recently leading Novelis’ center of excellence for manufacturing. He built, and has led, the global procurement activity for Novelis since 2006, where he led the transformational recycling strategy.
LOLS10在线直播下注After his early years in commercial and strategy roles in UK, he led ingot marketing, planning and risk management for Alcan Aluminium (Now Rio Tinto Aluminium), in Montreal between 1989 and 1994. In 1994 he became Director of Lehman Brothers’ Commodity Risk Management Group in London before joining the management buy-in of British Aluminium Ltd in 1996. He rejoined Alcan in Zurich as VP Metal Management and Procurement in 2000 and was president of the Can, Litho and Recycling business from 2004 until his move to LOLS10在线直播下注 in 2006.
Nick is a thought leader in the aluminium industry. He represented global aluminium consumers at the 2014 LOLS10在线直播下注 Senate Hearing into manipulation of commodity markets by investment banks. More recently, he has played a prominent role on the London Metal Exchange Committees, and is deeply involved in LME’s development of a responsible sourcing strategy, and aligning this with ASI.
Marcel van der Sluijs, Managing Director, Hermeta Metaalwaren BV
Marcel van der Sluijs has been Managing Director at Hermeta Group since 2014, a Board Member of VNO-NCW (The Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers) since 2019, and has held Board and Director positions in several companies in the construction and building sector, among others, over the past two decades. He has a Master of Science degree in Business/managerial Economics from Erasmus LOLS10在线直播下注, Rotterdam.
For years, the construction industry has fascinated Marcel van der Sluijs, in managing small and large organizations, organizational changes, strategy development and implementation. It is the interplay of people, with all their limitations, that always ensures that we can realize surprisingly beautiful and complex products and structures.
Marcel’s specialty is combining strong attention to the human factor in organizations with the rational side of business operations. He has experience in directing and guiding large groups of people and he’s able to give substance to organizational changes in an empathetic, passionate, personal and humorous way. Intrinsic drive for sustainability and human capital.
Daniel Weston, General Counsel, Nestlé and Board Director, Nespresso
Daniel has been General Counsel for Nestlé’s Zone AOA since May 2020, but remains a Board Director at Nespresso. He joined Nespresso in April 2011, where he worked as General Counsel & Global Head of Corporate Affairs (covering Nespresso’s Sustainability, Public Affairs, Corporate Communications and Legal/IP teams). Daniel is also a Board Member and a member of the Investment Committee of the Nestlé Swiss Pension Funds.
In addition to his legal background, Daniel also has business management experience, having previously led a life science business as well as negotiated several major pharmaceutical licensing deals. Prior to joining Nestlé in 2007, Daniel worked for Novartis (in both its pharmaceuticals and consumer health businesses) and Johnson & Johnson, having previously spent 8 years with City law firms in London. He also worked for 9 months for a medical and educational NGO in Rwanda after his legal studies.
Daniel is a Swiss and a British citizen, a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales and a CEDR accredited mediator. He is a graduate of Leicester LOLS10在线直播下注 and Guildford Law LOLS10在线直播下注 in the UK, and Vlerick Management LOLS10在线直播下注 in Belgium.
Jan Boekelman, Treasurer, Chimbo Foundation
LOLS10在线直播下注Jan has followed a career in Finance since finishing an MSC in Econometrics at the LOLS10在线直播下注 of Amsterdam.
LOLS10在线直播下注Jan has many years of experience in the oil & gas extraction industry, of which 15 years with Royal Dutch Shell and eight years with EBN, the Dutch state owned investment company. He has worked at increasing seniority levels for various Finance roles in positions in three continents, including a number of Executive Board positions at C-level and a number of Supervisory Board positions over the last ten years.

Pippa Howard, Director, Extractives and Development Infrastructure Program, Fauna & Flora International
LOLS10在线直播下注Pippa Howard is a registered Professional Natural Scientist with over 25 years’ experience in biodiversity conservation, environmental management, impact assessment, development and sustainability. Currently Director of FFI’s Extractives and Development Infrastructure Programme, she directs FFI’s engagement with the corporate sector, leading programmes to both advise and steer biodiversity management. Pippa brokers collaboration and cooperation between business, government and civil society to address both practical and policy challenges to biodiversity conservation. Pippa lectures on the MPhil Conservation Leadership Programme at Cambridge LOLS10在线直播下注 and is a mentor and tutor on the MBA programme at the Judge Business LOLS10在线直播下注.
Dr Sasha Courville, Head of Social Innovation, National Australia Bank
LOLS10在线直播下注Sasha is the Head of Social Innovation at National Australia Bank. She was previously the Executive Director of the ISEAL Alliance from 2005-2012, and has been a member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer for Water Stewardship Australia. She brings expertise in next generation sustainability standards systems and online information platforms and tools to enhance access to information about standards, and extensive experience in strategy, multi-stakeholder engagement, natural capital and ecosystems services frameworks and shared value initiative design.
Anita Roper, Director of Yarra Valley Water and the Stroke Association of Victoria
Anita is an experienced board director and has focused on organisational governance roles since 2011. She is a Director of Yarra Valley Water and the Stroke Association of Victoria, and has previous been a Director of Pacific Hydro, Fitzroy Football Club and a Board Member of the Hazelwood Coal Mine Fire Inquiry. She has also served on numerous other advisory boards, councils and working groups including as a Board Member of the Women’s Network for a Sustainable Future and delegate to the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.
She has expertise in strategic, organisational and issues management with over 30 years’ experience in senior management roles working with business, governments, communities and multi-lateral agencies in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and the LOLS10在线直播下注A. She has worked on major development projects in Brazil, Guinea and Iceland. She works to build coalitions through dialogue and action with an emphasis on finding practical solutions in both community and business environments.
